I have added a new toy – a 2026 Yamaha Raptor 700. I did not opt for the 700R – as nice as the adjustable shocks would be, I liked the color/graphics on the base model better.
For it’s inaugural ride we took it down to Southern Utah and broke it in at Long Valley, Warner Valley and the really broke it in at Coral Pink Sand Dunes.
I borrowed a set of sand tires and Paddles from my buddy for Coral Pink since my set were not here yet.
This machine is a beast! It screams across the dunes like they are pavement – esp with the paddles and sand tires. Living close to such excellent riding opportunities such as Coral Pink and Little Sahara in Utah, and of course St Anthony in Idaho, plus lots of ATV/OHV trails throughout the area, I am hoping to get lots of use out of this beast.
