I recently installed a pair of Rough Country 3″ OSRAM LED lights on the A-pillar brackets. The lights are super bright with a very wide beam spread. These really light up the surrounding areas, but do not project very far ahead of the Jeep. The 150 watt pair of lights are rated at 13,800 Lumens and are a bright white color. After installing these and testing them out, I really want to upgrade my headlights and driving lights to LED as well. The lights also included snap on covers which I preferred and skipped over several options because covers were not even an option.

To control these lights as well as all of my future planned lights I installed the Rough Country MLC-6 Light controller with the lower dash switch option. The controller replaces the pretty much useless pocket at the bottom of the center dash section with 6 individual switches. Each switch is connected to it’s own relay and makes wiring future lights, air compressor and other accessories much easier.

My current plan is to add a 20″ light bar to the front bumper. I’m considering the Rough Country dual row with white DLR bar. This 200 watt light is rated at around 18,000 lumens and has a combination of spot and flood beams. I am hoping I can come up with a way to mount it right in front of my winch.

In addition to the 20-inch lights bar, other future lights include a set of rock lights and back-up lights. I may also add a set of amber chase lights to the underside of the bed rack for when traveling with others on dusty roads.
